There are some effective, simple and easy tips to lose weight.

The most important rule: Eat every 1.5 - 2 hours (a snack)

A lot of people think that you have to eat 3 healthy meals a day and watch what you eat in between.

That's not true. In order to lose weight efficiently you need to eat more often to lose weight, not less. We've all heard that when you starve yourself your body's "defense mechanism" kicks in and takes over. Certain hormones kick in to assist with the nutrition deficiency. So it's better to feed the body with proper nutrition.

Your body is like a machine, you need to keep feeding it fuel (good fuel though). You have to give it nourishment 1.5 -2 hours.

Think of it like the different types of fuel (like grades of gasoline). You can give your body a "lower grade" fuel like sugar, sweets, soft drinks, fried foods etc. and it will not perform that good, tired, sluggish. So your body will perform substandard, you'll feel run down, headaches, low energy etc.

Or you can feed your body vegetables, fruits, lean meats, water, nuts, seeds, fish, cranberry juice, etc. (like premium grade fuel) and feel energetic, up, regular, sleep better etc.

1. STOP EATING FRIED FOODS

You know that fried foods are bad for you. You should know by now that Trans fats and Saturated fats are bad for you and heart health. Fried foods contain the "bad fats". Any benefit from the meat or vegetable that is fried is extremely reduced.

2. QUIT DRINKING SODA (and more water: 6-8 glasses a day)

There is no nutritional value in soda or soft drinks. They contain too much sugar, diet soda contain artificial sweeteners (aspartame) that are harmful to the body and digestive system.

3. QUIT EATING SWEETS

Again, there is no nutritional value in cakes, pies, candy etc.

4. GET ALL THE BAD FOODS OUT OF THE HOUSE

To minimize the temptation, get all the bad foods out of the house. On those days when you seem to be cruising by the kitchen every 15 or 20 minutes to consume a snack or get something to eat, if you don't have the bad foods in the house then you can't eat them.
